The Flueblocker works by being a bit bigger than the flue you are fitting it into. The felt is thick and stiff, so it will squash into a range of flue sizes and jam itself in there, holding itself in place. If you have a square or rectangular flue, measure the lenght from eft to right and the Depth from front to back and choose a Flueblocker that is an inch or two larger. You can trim the size down with scissors if needed.

And if there is damper hardware in the way you can put a slit in the Flueblocker pad to accommodate it. Do NOT light a fire with the Flueblocker in place.
